"We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn’t serve the world. There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We are born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us, it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

My dresses

School holidays are here again! I was lucky enough to have one full day of sewing on Monday when my husband took the three kids out all day. It was rainy and miserable all day- perfect for cranking the music and SEWING- and this is what I made...

I am really happy with the way it turned out although it is a little big in the top. Better too big than too small right?

This is my second attempt at making clothing for myself. Here is the first:

Both patterns are by Sew Serendipity and both are made using fabric by Amy Butler.

Holidays are nearly over. Kids back to school and husband and I back to work next week. Here is a favourite holiday snap taken on the beautiful South Coast at Greenpatch. Our camping adventure was abandoned after just 2 nights due to terrible weather, but we still had fun!
